The rule used to check each yoga
Each yoga is a direct test on houses and signs. For Gajakesari, Jupiter must be in a kendra from the Moon. For Panch Mahapurusha Yoga, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus or Saturn must be in its own or exaltation sign and in a kendra from the lagna. For Parashari Raj Yoga, the lord of a kendra and the lord of a trikona must be in the same sign or exchange signs, but the lagna lord is left out so that ordinary results do not appear. A Yogakaraka is a Mars, Venus or Saturn that owns both a kendra and a trikona for that lagna. For Budhaditya, the Sun and Mercury share a sign; for Chandra-Mangala, the Moon and Mars share a sign. In simple Neecha Bhanga, the sign lord of the debilitated planet is in a kendra from the lagna or the Moon. Aspects (drishti) are not counted yet. Checked on 2026-10-10.
An example
Take, for example, a birth in Delhi on an afternoon. The check found two yogas: Gajakesari (Jupiter in a kendra from Moon) and Budhaditya (Sun with Mercury). With each yoga, the page also shows the rule that formed it, so you can verify it in the chart yourself.
Limitations
- Planetary aspects (drishti) are not counted yet, so yogas that depend on an aspect will not appear in this list.
- The Neecha Bhanga rule is taken in its simple form; detailed traditions and conditions may differ.
- Yogas are shown as traditional indications, not as promises of future results. If the birth time is unknown, yogas that depend on the lagna are not reliable.
- The lagna has so far been verified only against sunrise-time geometry; a comparison of charts with other software is still pending.
- This information is for guidance and tradition, not a substitute for professional advice.
